About

Organisations rarely fail for want of technology.

They fail because technology decisions drift away from the business objectives that justified them.

The practice

Strategy into systems.

In short

  • Independent. The recommendation follows the diagnosis.
  • Founder-led. The work is done by the person accountable for it.
  • Architecture-led. The requirement before the product.

01The name

Why Elyntara?

Elyntara is a name created for what comes next.

The name is not tied to a person, a product, a technology or a single industry. It was deliberately created as a neutral, international identity capable of evolving alongside the organisations and technologies we work with.

At its heart is an idea: strategy must become something tangible.

  1. Strategy

    A funded sequence.

    Technology strategy becomes architecture.

  2. Architecture

    A buildable design.

    Architecture becomes systems.

  3. Systems

    An operating capability.

    Systems become capability.

  4. Capability

    A business outcome.

    Capability creates business outcomes.

  5. Outcomes

    Something the business runs on.

The result an organisation can actually operate.

Elyntara exists in the space between the idea and the system.

Strategy into systems.

One idea, structured, then distributed into systems an organisation can run.

02The origin

Written from inside the environments, not about them.

A capable organisation invests seriously in technology. Every decision is defensible. Two years on, the environment is more expensive, less resilient and harder to change than anyone intended, and no single decision explains it.

What is usually missing

What is missing is rarely engineering capability. It is a position held consistently across the whole chain: from what the business is trying to achieve, through the architecture, into the commercial structure, and out into the operational reality of running it.

Elyntara exists to hold that position independently, for organisations where the next technology decision carries consequences that outlast the people making it.

Environments

Senior experience supporting environments characterised by:

  • Multi-tenant environments serving many end clients
  • Large enterprise customer estates
  • Global network infrastructure
  • Tier-1 connectivity and peering arrangements
  • Highly resilient, availability-critical infrastructure
  • Multi-country deployments
  • Enterprise-grade security and compliance environments

03Background

Senior technology experience, applied independently.

A career spent across architecture, connectivity, infrastructure and the commercial side of enterprise technology, now offered as an advisory practice rather than through a vendor or an integrator.

Architecture

  • Enterprise IT architecture
  • Solutions architecture
  • Complex enterprise solution design
  • Technical governance

Connectivity

  • Global connectivity
  • Internet and ISP infrastructure
  • Network architecture
  • Tier-1 connectivity and peering

Infrastructure

  • Cloud and hybrid infrastructure
  • High availability and resilience
  • Complex multi-site environments
  • Multi-country deployment

Operations

  • Customer experience and communications architecture
  • Operational technology leadership
  • Technology transformation
  • Vendor and partner management

Sectors

  • Service provider and operator environments
  • Multi-site and multi-country operations
  • Availability-critical infrastructure
  • Regulated and audited environments

Commercial

  • Technology strategy
  • Technology commercialisation
  • Strategic account management
  • Solution and vendor evaluation

04The model

Why an advisory, and not an integrator.

An organisation that both recommends and delivers cannot give a disinterested answer to the question “should this be done at all?”

  • No resaleWe do not sell or resell technology.
  • No vendor commissionsWe are not remunerated by vendors for recommendations.
  • No delivery revenue to protectWhere implementation is needed, we help select the partner and hold them to the architecture.
  • Senior by constructionWork is scoped, conducted and defended by the person accountable for it, which is why capacity is limited.
